Mit The Retirement (Der Ruhestand) hat die chilenische Künstlerin Pilar Quinteros für die Ausstellung Bündelbanden. Karton packt aus eine neue ortsspezifische Installation im Museum Basler Papiermühle geschaffen. Aus Karton entsteht ein monumentaler Basilisk – verletzlich, schwebend und im Wandel. Die Arbeit verbindet Mythologie mit Fragen nach Erinnerung, Material und Vergänglichkeit. Wir laden euch herzlich zur Vernissage ein, im Atelier 39 direkt neben dem Museum. For the exhibition Bündelbanden. Cardboard Unpacked, Chilean artist Pilar Quinteros has created The Retirement, a new site-specific installation at the museum Basler Papiermühle. Made entirely of cardboard, a monumental basilisk hovers beneath the roof structure – fragile, suspended, and in transition. The work brings together mythology with questions of memory, material, and transformation. We warmly invite you to the exhibition opening in Studio 39, directly next to the museum.
